Memorial Concert 1991



The Fritz Wunderlich Society, Kusel, organised a memorial Concert on 5th October 1991 at 8pm to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the death of the Tenor Fritz Wunderlich.

Musical Development


Tomoko Nakamura
Born in Kagoshima, Japan. She studied from 1973 at the music school of her home town and completed her education there in 1976.
In 1977 she studied singing with Helmut Kretschmar at the Detmold state music school. In 1982 she graduated in musical arts and in 1985 she passed the concert exam with distinction. Since 1983 she participates in master classes on a regular basis. She has won awards in various international competitions. Already from 1980 onwards she has sung on different stages, parts like Pamina, Queen of the Night, Konstanze, Donna Anna, Gilda, Micaela and Cho-Cho-San. As well as stage appearances, Tomoko Nakamura also gives Lieder performances.

  Kiyoshi Asano
Born 05.05.1952 in Chiba, Japan. He studied at the Kunitachi Music College. Leonard Bernstein referred him to the Juilliard School, New York, where he studied with Jacob Lateiner and at the New York University he studied with Eugene List. In 1978 he obtained his Master of Music. In Mannheim he continued his studies with Prof. Thürwächter. Between 1980 and 1984 he taught at the Music High School Heidelberg-Mannheim and at the Kaiserslautern City Music School. Since his return to Japan he gave numerous piano and chamber music concerts, amongst them a nine part concert series of Beethoven's 32 piano sonatas. He is currently Associate Professor at Hirosaki University.

Constantin Alex
 

Constantin Alex
Born in Rendsburg, Schleswig-Holstein. 1984-1988 he undertook music studies at NWD Music Academy, Detmold. He studied orchestra management with Prof. K H Bloemke, choirmanagement with Prof. A Wagner and piano with R.Kretschmar-Fischer. Since 1990 he has accompanied singers and chamber music with duos and trios and played in a piano quartet with singers and musicians of the Frankfurt/Main Opera.
